About Me

Hi, I’m TheRealThing. I’m currently studying Health and Social Care Management at Arden University, and I’ve developed a strong interest in mental health, not just through my academic work but also through my personal experiences. I’ve dealt with anxiety and depression for quite a while, so I know how important it is to have spaces where people can be open and honest without feeling judged.

When I’m not buried in study work, I spend a lot of time gaming, reading, and writing — they’re my main ways to switch off and escape into different worlds. Fallout 76 is my current favourite game, and I also love unwinding with TV and music. EastEnders is my go-to soap, and I’m into darker, thought-provoking shows as well as the lighter ones that help me relax in the evenings. Music is a big part of my day too — I always have something playing in the background, whether it’s newer artists or older favourites.

I decided to join this forum because I value conversations that are honest and supportive but not sugar-coated. I believe people should be able to share their experiences exactly as they are, without having to put on a façade of positivity or meet unrealistic expectations. For me, it’s more about connection and understanding than ticking boxes.
