Impetuous is a synonym of impulsive that describes a person who is acting without thought, or an action that is done without thought.

Remember, it is not the burdens of life that weigh us down, it is how we handle them.

For we walk by faith, not by sight– 2 Corinthians 5:7 How are you feeling today? Happy or sad? Calm or frustrated? Up one moment and down the next? Feelings. We all have them—whether we like them or not. Some of us feel things more intensely than others, but none of us can escape them. And when our emotions rise up, they can easily cloud our vision and make us forget God’s promises. The truth is, feelings are real, but they’re not always reliable. They can make what’s temporary feel permanent and what’s uncertain feel overwhelming. But feelings don’t get the final word—God’s Word does. His promises stand firm whether or not we feel them. His truth remains unshaken even when our emotions waver. Like, we may not always feel happy, but our joy is secure in Christ. Or we may feel alone, but God has promised never to leave us or forsake us. So whatever you’re feeling today, grab on to one truth from His Word and cling to it until your feelings catch up with God’s truth.
