  9. Even on our worst day I have loved you with an everlasting love, and I have drawn you with unfailing kindness. – Jeremiah 31:3 Do you ever feel like you don’t deserve God’s love? Yeah, I know that feeling. Some days, no matter how much I long for His love, I just can’t bring myself to believe I deserve it. It’s usually days where I knew what I should have done but didn’t do it, or I knew what I shouldn’t have done but did it anyway. I’m guessing you’ve had those days too. On those days where I feel like a failure, it’s hard to accept the truth that God loves me. In fact, on those days I don’t even like myself. Yet God’s word insists that even when I was a sinner, Jesus demonstrated His love for me by dying for me. In Jeremiah 31:3 it says that even in the wilderness, the Lord says, “I have loved you with an everlasting love, and I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.” As hard as it is to believe it, even on our worst day, God still loves us. There’s no escaping His love. You might not feel lovable or act lovable, but still nothing can separate you from Christ’s love. Isn’t that an encouraging truth to abide in today? Let it settle in your heart, and let it change how you live. You are deeply loved—still, and forever.
