Ingredients

8 apples we used honey crisp but any kind will work

1/3 cup brown sugar

1/3 cup pure maple syrup

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

3 cups rolled oats

1 cup butter melted

2 cups yellow cake mix

2/3 cup brown sugar

pinch salt

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F

Peel and core the apples and then cut into thin slices. Place in an even layer to a 9"x13" baking pan.

Add 1/3 cup brown sugar, 1/3 cup maple syrup, and 1/2 t. of cinnamon to the apples and toss to combine.

In a separate bowl, mix together the melted butter, oats, cake mix, 2/3 cup brown sugar, and a pinch of salt. Top the apples with the crumble mixture.

Bake for 40-50 minutes, the apples should be tender and the topping should be golden brown and bubbly around the edges.

Serve warm, optionally with ice cream or cool whip. Enjoy!
