No never, my daughter does though as she loves to cook.

I don't use recipes but if I need help I search the Internet.

I do for things I'm cooking for the first time, but once I know what I'm doing, I'm fine. I like to cook, so I'll make something a couple of times to make sure I know it and then it's fine. "Baked in" knowledge ;)
