Posted June 17Jun 17 I find it really hard to open up to my family about how I’m feeling. Does anyone have advice on starting those conversations?
June 22Jun 22 I have discovered that it is all about location and right timing. So, I will advise you to select some quiet place where people feel relaxed. Then, tell the truth about your mental situation. There is no problem to begin with small steps and limit your sharing at first. Trust me, that strategy works well.

Does anyone have advice on starting those conversations? It's so hard, isn't it, to open up to people who care about you about your MI?The only things I might suggest are to write them a letter if you it is too hard to verbalise things...Somethinglike..."When I am/I feel, I need...."Forgive me if this is too simplicistic a suggestion, and it certainly doesn't work with everyone...You shouldn't have to suffer in silence all on your own though, which only amplifies your inner struggles...
