  2. The Healthy12 Signs You’re in a Toxic RelationshipFind out if you're in a toxic relationship by recognizing these telltale signs. Plus: Fix the problem with advice from mental health experts.
  3. Are you a healthy person? How often do you get sick?"
  4. Do you trust doctors? Completely? Why or why not?"
  5. Contrary to popular belief, snacks eaten before bed don't turn straight into fat! As long as the calorie intake fits into your diet plan, you can have something to eat before bed -- the calories will be burned off the next day, and even while you sleep. However, it's still better to eat earlier in the day, when your body needs the extra energy.
  6. Don't wait until you go out for sushi to have green tea! Studies show that green tea can actually speed up your metabolism, helping your body burn fat and calories more quickly. Try replacing your regular coffee or tea with green tea when you have the opportunity.
  7. Want to give your hair a little extra shine? Increase the amount of vitamin E in your diet -- nuts and green vegetables are good for this. Omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids also improve your hair's health ... you can get those from salt-water fish and dark green, leafy veggies.
  8. Do you struggle with allergies?
  9. Drinking lots of water really is good for you, and it also keeps your skin looking younger and healthier. Low-sugar fruits, like berries and melons, also help keep your skin firm without being so sweet as to increase your blood sugar (which encourages water retention and increased inflammation).
  10. Always make sure to get the right amount of sleep ... but if you just can't one night, you don't have to look exhausted the next day. Before you shower, apply a thick layer of moisturizer to your face. Use an invigorating shower gel and end with a cool rinse. Gently massage off the moisturizer at the end of the shower with a damp washcloth. The moist heat helps get rid of fine lines and creases temporarily.
  11. If you have naturally curly hair, you may get frizzy as your hair dries. There's a simple solution -- don't touch it! Wait until your hair is at least 90% dry (either let it air dry or use a diffuser) before touching it, then tousle it with your fingers to style.
  12. Give your hair time to repair itself. Keep the heat off by letting your hair air-dry as often as possible. If you must use a hair dryer, use a nozzle to put some distance between you and the dryer's heat.
  13. If your hair lacks body, here's a quick tip: lower your head and brush your hair from underneath while you dry it. It really does work! If you still want a little more body, use a round brush.
  14. If you don't have time to do your nails, try this: remove any nail polish, soak your nails in lemon juice to get rid of stains, then use a nail buffer for a quick shine.
  15. One day a man went to an auction. While there, he bid on a parrot. He really wanted this bird, so he got caught up in the bidding. He kept on bidding, but kept getting outbid, so he bid higher and higher and higher. Finally, after he had bid way more than he intended, he won the bid - the parrot was his at last! As he was paying for the parrot, he said to the auctioneer, "I sure hope this parrot can talk. I would hate to have paid this much for it, only to find out that he can't talk!" "Don't worry," said the auctioneer, "he can talk. Who do you think kept bidding against you?"
  16. Wanted: Someone to brush their teeth with me because 9/10 dentists say brushing alone won't help tooth decay. No weirdos please.

  18. Sunflowers are well-known for their heliotropism—the ability to turn their heads to follow the sun across the sky. But what’s less known is that these bright blooms also engage in a subtle form of plant communication. Sunflowers, like many plants, can generate and transmit tiny electrical signals across their tissues. These signals, known as action potentials, are similar to the ones in human nerves (though much slower), and help the plant respond to changes in its environment. When a sunflower experiences stress—like injury, drought, or changes in light—these electrical impulses travel through its system, alerting other parts of the plant to react, such as closing pores to conserve water or adjusting growth direction. There’s even growing evidence that these signals may help sunflowers "communicate" with neighboring plants, sharing environmental cues. So yes—sunflowers don’t just follow the sun. They quietly sense, react, and signal, forming a hidden electrical dialogue rooted in the soil. Text & Image credit: Earth Unreal
