Honestly, I really don't know. You would think that as many blood tests I've had, I would think to ask.

I myself have never been in one but I remember the day my mom died . I was there at the hospital with her. She had trouble breathing due to a blood clot on the lung. She lacked oxygen to the brain. Was brain dead. They were going to put her on life support but mom made it clear beforehand that she didn't want to live that one. We honored her wishes. She died 5 days after Mother's Day.
