How did Noxema get its name? Noxema, the skin cream invented in 1914 by Baltimore pharmacist George Bunting, was originally sold as "Dr. Bunting's Sunburn Remedy." What's the difference between a thunderstorm and a supercell? Supercells are similar to other thunderstorms, except they're bigger, stronger, and meaner. While a strong thunderstorm, associated with a passing cold front, may produce a tornado, supercells can produce several tornadoes. How do chicks know when to break out of their shells? At a certain point, the membrane that acts as a lung is no longer able to handle the growing chick's demands for oxygen. At that point, carbon dioxide begins to build up in the shell, causing a sharp twitch in the hatching muscle in the bird's neck.
