The actors, who play on-screen couple Fiz and Tyrone Dobbs, appeared on Good Morning Britain today (9 September), where they discussed what's coming up on the cobbles. McAlpine confirmed that filming for the festive season is already under way, and teased a Christmas party for the Underworld workers which is sure to get lively. "Spoiler alert, Ed, last week, me and Kirk [Sutherland, played by Andy Whyment] were already filming in the factory, the Underworld Christmas do," she told co-host Ed Balls. "We both had a Santa hat on. His was sequined." ITV Meanwhile, Halsall hinted at ITV's big soap crossover which will take place in 2026 and see characters from Corrie and Emmerdale sharing the screen. The hour-long special will merge the two iconic worlds in a unique standalone episode. "I know we're doing a special episode later on in the year, I don't know how public that is. That will be January time, I think," said Halsall. "There's plenty happening, there always is on Coronation Street." ITV Elsewhere in the interview, the pair discussed last night's shocking scenes, which saw Tyrone hit by a speeding vehicle, driven by Dylan Wilson and Brody Michaelis. The beloved mechanic was rushed to hospital, but this is only the beginning of his traumatic experience. "This is a big storyline and also a sensitive storyline that we've got to be careful with," explained Halsall. "Will he walk again? How's it going to affect his family?" "It's not just the physical aspect of what he goes through, but also the mental toll on his wife, his children, his nanna, his mum." View full article
  5. Emmerdale's new shock as Ray drives off with April – what does he have planned? Emmerdale's April Windsor is almost caught at a drug drop by PC Swirling next week – but will the startling wake-up call be enough for her to stop doing Ray's bidding? April's descent into the world of drug crime reaches a new low as she arrives at a car park to meet a sketchy young lad and drop drugs off, only to be spotted by patrolling PC Swirling… "April is seriously playing with fire," our Emmerdale source explains. "Luckily, Swirling doesn't see anything untoward and believes April's lies about what she's doing hanging around a dodgy car park. "April has already been mugged, now almost arrested – whatever happens next can't be good." ITV When Swirling gives anxious April a lift home, Rhona Goskirk demands answers – but like Swirling, she believes the girl's lies, leaving April wracked with guilt. Unbeknownst to her, scary Ray knows all about her run-in with the police – and cruelly tells Dylan Penders that he doubts she can be trusted to stay silent. When Dylan explains Ray's doubts to shaken April, she's furious that he's been discussing her with Ray. Dylan makes things worse when he encourages her to keep working for Ray by insisting that they need the money for the flat they plan to share. ITV "Dylan totally guilt-trips April by bringing up their renting dreams – she just wants to be a normal young couple in love, not Bonnie and Clyde," our insider adds. "She rushes off in a huff, leaving Dylan majorly regretting his words. April has been counting on the fact that Dylan has changed, but now she could be starting to regret giving him a chance…" Later, April pities Dylan when she sees how much faith he has in wrong'un Ray. As they head off to meet Ray in a lay-by, they're determined to talk him round and escape his influence – but when Ray decides he only needs April, he speeds off with her in the car, leaving Dylan in the dust. ITV "Standing up to Ray is a dangerous move, and it looks as though April could live to regret it," our spy warns. "After she asks him when their debt will be wiped out, Ray decides he has no use for Dylan and takes her away in the car. Being alone with Ray could cost April her life – she has no way out." As they speed off, where is Ray taking April? And what does he have planned for her when they get there? View full article
